Limited Edition Comforters (All double/queen size) - please check for availability before ordering.

A limited number of wool comforters (depending on the amount of sheep’s wool from the annual shearing) are available every year from The Wonderlamb Shoppe. With each comforter, you get a picture and story of the sheep whose wool will be keeping you (or the special person you are giving the comforter to) warm. Visit the Animal Messenger Sanctuary to choose the sheep whose wool comforter you would like to order. Check here for this year’s availability. In addition to the individual sheep comforters, each year, one or two Mother and Child Comforters are also available. These are double/queen size comforters made from a combination of wool from Wonder and his mother, Charlotte. Celebrate the mother and child (of all ages and species!) bond with a Mother and Child Comforter. The Flock Comforter (Together Forever), which combines the wool of all the sheep, may also be available.

The wool in Wonderlamb comforters is organic, processed with hypoallergenic products, and hand-quilted in a 100% cotton muslin cover. The comforters come in a double/queen (86 x 90 inches) size only and each contains 4.5 pounds of wool. Officially, that is a winter-weight comforter, but wool comforters can be all-season bed covering. Like the sheep—warm in the winter, cool in the summer.

Wool Fact: When a sheep has been under stress (as in fear), you can see it in the wool when you shear it. It may appear as extra kinkiness or another change in the growing pattern. Wonderlamb wool is stress-free wool. Sleep under a comforter made with wool from a sheep treated with love and kindness. Your dreams may be sweeter!

Cleaning your Comforter

Wool comforters, like down comforters, should be used with a duvet cover to protect them. Dry-cleaning is not recommended. Airing out is generally sufficient. If necessary, you can lightly sponge dirt or spots on the muslin cover.
